In November 1956 we bought the B&B tavern and renamed it the Lido Bar & Grill. It's name was taken from the Lido in Phoenix, Arizona that was owned by Frank Gorman's father. Frank Gorman, Sr. named his restaurant after the Lido in Paris that he experienced during World War 1.

Our intention in opening the Lido was to have a comfortable, friendly, family restaurant. We wanted people to bring family and friends and not have to save up to come here. Our quality food, our inexpensive prices, and our terrific staff have enabled us to attain our goal.

The Lido is a very unique place. What makes us so special are the people who eat here and the people who work here. They are our advertisement, our source of success. We thank them all and we appreciate their loyalty. It has been a remarkable five decades and we thank you.

It has been a pleasure! The Gorman Family
